Bay Breeze
Pineapple, cranberry, sun
Cranberry, pineapple, and vodka in a highball — drinks for people who want tropical without rum. Dangerously approachable.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Vodka
- 2 oz Pineapple Juice
- 2 oz Cranberry Juice
Method
Fill a highball with ice. Pour vodka. Top with pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Stir.
The Bay Breeze emerged in the mid-1980s as a tropical variation of the Sea Breeze, using pineapple juice in place of grapefruit. It belongs to the vodka-cranberry family that grew out of Ocean Spray's cranberry juice marketing (the Sea Breeze, created in the 1960s, was a flagship product of that campaign; the Bay Breeze is a later variation).
